Mortgage Next adds Halifax insurance to panel

Halifax General Insurance has been appointed to the general insurance panel of Mortgage Next.
The move means Mortgage Next’s 250 appointed representatives and 3000 directly authorized brokers will now be able to provide Halifax building and contents insurance and accident, sickness and unemployment cover.
Jon Craven, head of mortgage intermediaries at Halifax General Insurance, commented: “The deal further strengthens HBOS's relationship with Mortgage Next and increases our product offering to the appointed representatives within its network. The deal is a key element of our ongoing strategy for growth in the intermediary market. This, combined with the recent price reduction to our accident, sickness and unemployment product and the launch of our 'buy buildings get contents half price offer' demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our offering to intermediaries and their clients."
Justine Tomlinson, marketing director at Mortgage Next, added: "The deal is a direct result of feedback from our members who have expressed an active interest in Halifax General Insurance. We believe this deal offers our network low prices and excellent commission, without compromising quality. "
